Event Updates
Courtesy Runner Rule
Courtesy (Bandit) Runner
- The Bandit Runner (BR) may be anyone on the roster.
- The BR must be designated before the game begins This is tied to the player and not a position in the lineup or on the roster.
- The BR will be the Bandit Runner for the remainder of the game. The BR may run for anyone at any time.
- If the BR is also in the batting lineup, and his turn at bat occurs while he is on base, his position in the batting order will be an out. If the BR’s “Turn at Bat” occurs and the BR is ON BASE, an out will be recorded for his position in the batting order. There are NO exceptions. His “turn at bat” occurs when the previous batters turn at bat has ended. “Play Ball” or “Batter Up” need not be indicated for his turn at bat to occur. There shall be no other penalty other than an out.
- The BR role may not be substituted. A Bandit Runner may be replaced on the base only by the player he is running for at the time. The Bandit Runner role is then lost for the remainder of the game.
- If anyone other than the Designated BR assumes a position on the base to run for another player and is not announced as a legal substitute the improper baserunner will be declared out.
Runner for the Pitcher
- In addittion to the “Bandit Runner” the pitcher will be allowed a runner other than the Bandit Runner If the Bandit is on base or in jeopardy of being on base when it is his turn to bat. This “pitcher runner” may be anyone on the roster. If his turn to bat occurs and he is occupying a base e will be “out at the plate”.

250' FORMAT RULES
250' FORMAT RULES
Any ball hit over the 250' fence and not over the 300'fence is a homerun.
Any ball hit beyond the 300' fence is recorded as an out
Homeruns are unlimited.
If a screen is used, any ball hitting the screen off the bat untouched will be an out and the ball is dead
A thrown ball hitting the screen will be live.
The screen will be optional for each team, to be determined at the beginning of the game and for the duration of the game.
Each team must designate a Mr. 250. This player must Clear the 250' fence or he is out.
If he clears both fences it is still a Homerun (no penalty)
If the Mr. 250 is walked, it will be recorded as a walk.
The next, and only the next batted ball clearing the 300 fence,
before Mr. 250 comes back to bat, will count as a Home Run.
The Mr. 250 will continue his role as Mr. 250 for all of his at bats.
